Last Thursday, the winners of the Techmark Awards 2011 were announced at a gkittering affair at the London Intercontinental. PwC were lead sponsors. Jass Sarai, UK Technology Industry Leader at PwC, said “The winners should be very proud of their achievements in these difficult times and I hope they remain focused on their commitment and leadership of the UK Technology market and inspire others to realise the UK market is a great place to be for all up and coming technology companies.”
Winners this year included our friends at Microgen who got the 'Technology Innovation Award' – seen in the photo is CEO David Sheriff with Jass Sarai (PwC) and Sean Duffy (Barclays). Other winners included Autonomy for ‘Achievement of the Year” (we could write a whole article on whether that applies…) Rob Cotton at NCC got ‘Personality of the Year', DataExplorers got the 'Enterprise Star Award'. Shire plc received the 'TechMark Company of the Year Award'.
We were also personally very pleased that Jass and PwC decided that the Prince’s Trust would benefit from the charity collection. We await the total raised with anticipation!
