1Spatial joins ‘Dearly Departed’ – pending resurrection

Now concentrate. Technically, AIM-listed spatial data management play, 1Spatial, was acquired by AIM-listed, buy-and-build-and-sell merchant, Avisen – only it sort of wasn’t (see Avisen, 1Spatial – will three reverses engage forward gear?). 1Spatial delists from AIM today – but the brand will be resurrected for the enlarged company. The Avisen board has been reshuffled, including the appointment of 1Spatial chairman Stephen Berry as Avisen non-exec chairman. Berry holds current directorships in no fewer than 20 companies and partnerships, bringing new meaning to the concept of a portfolio career. Get it? Got it! Good.
