Yet another top-level reshuffle at Wipro

Clik here to view.It seems that ‘new’ CEO TK Kurien had not yet got Bangalore-based offshore services major, Wipro, into its final form, instituting another major reorganisation of some key business units. From January, Wipro will merge a number of its existing operating units into a single ‘Business Operations Unit’ under Wipro 20-year veteran, Bhanumurthy BM, currently head of Wipro’s Retail, Consumer Goods, Transportation & Government (RCTG) vertical. Even longer (30-year) veteran and Global Chief Delivery Officer, Sambuddha Deb, is to retire by next March. To be frank, I can’t quite get my head around these changes as yet but will let you know when I can. All I can say for now is that this must feel very disruptive to the troops, who have seen a number of major top-level changes since Kurien took over in February (see here).
