I felt that the mood of the TCS top team (see No surprises from TCS) was rather more upbeat on their concall than that of Infosys management, though this is not an unusual state of affairs. Whereas Infosys management were painting a picture of customer IT budgets broadly flat or down in 2012 (see Infosys lowers guidance), TCS management said that two-thirds of the customers they spoke to who had firmed up their budgets did so flat or higher.
