Clik here to view. The continuing high level of interest from UK IT companies in Brazil was amply demonstrated last week Friday with a full house at a seminar outlining the ICT opportunities in what is now the wold’s fifth largest economy. The event was hosted by the Brazilian Embassy and jointly organised by UK Trade & Investment, industry association Intellect, and IT Decisions, the end-user IT research firm founded by the well-known (and well published) commentator, Mark Hillary.
Regular readers will know of my personal interest in Brazil (very much shared by Hillary, who also had the good sense to marry a Brazilian and indeed now lives there). But as eligible TechMarketView subscription service clients will see in the next edition of BrazilViews, it’s a complex market for UK companies to break into. Indeed, if there was a common theme among all the speakers, it was ‘bureaucracy’ (for which the Brazilians have much to thank the Portuguese for). Nonetheless, a small contingency of British IT firms are there and there is plenty of room for more!
