Unit4 appoints new UK public sector sales lead

Interesting to note that Unit4 has announced the appointment of Phil Bradbury as Head of Public Sector Sales. Why interesting? Because Bradbury used to work for rival SAP as a Major Account Manager for its Government team. He was also previously Central Government Sector Manager at Objective Corporation (see Objective Corporation: finding a way into Whitehall). Unit4 states that the appointment is “aligned to (its) strategy of providing... clients with the very best vertical sector knowledge”. More to the point, though, it reaffirms Unit4’s determination to replace SAP and Oracle in cash-strapped public sector organisations (see Unit4 chipping away at SAP).
