There’s a new name in the UK mid-market managed services space this morning, with the announcement that the Lumison brand is to be replaced by Pulsant. Actually it’s three brands that are being replaced, since the business is made up of not only Lumison but also its DediPower and BlueSquare acquisitions (see Lumison adds third leg to managed services stool).
We’ve commented before on this business as one of the growing consolidators competing in the messy but opportunity-rich mid market. The investment in a new brand is another sign of its ambition, backed of course by Bridgepoint Capital. And, in truth, the brand name itself is less important than the signal this move aims to give out about the integration of a business built on M&A.
