InternetQWith its focus on mobile marketing and digital entertainment solutions for mobile network operators and brands, InternetQ really is in a sweet spot - and its year-end numbers were equally sweet.

For the year to December 31 2011 revenue was up an impressive 35% to €50.1m. During H2 growth hit 55%. Profits after tax were less impressive rising just 4% to €2.4m (vs €2.3m) but that was after some heavy investment in product development and geographic expansion in Southeast Asia and Africa, as well as central and eastern Europe.

Mobile marketing is the core offering and an important growth driver - sales of €41.2m, up 37% on prior year. Digital marketing overall is on the rise with Adobe for example, demonstrating the value of being active in this area (see Steady Adobe: waiting for reorganization impact to take effect). InternetQ’s social music network AKAZOO is the fastest growing part of the business, although it is starting from a low base. Revenue expanded 73% to €6m during 2011.

Future plans include organic and acquisition-based growth and given its performance (see Mobile marketing shows its growth potential) and area of interest, growth looks assured, not least because it doubled its connectivity agreements with tier 1 and tier 2 mobile network operators during the year.
