Management is in a state a flux at SAP UK and Ireland. Just six months after being appointed MD, Steven Winter is off to a new role within the company. Fred Hessabi, SVP and general manager of continental Europe will head up the UK and Ireland division on an interim basis.
SAP recently announced that it would structure its business around five categories - mobile, data, technology, analytics, cloud and applications. Winter, who relocated from the US where he was COO, will head up a newly created line of business sales team around HR. HR is also cloud-based SuccessFactors territory and although SAP has given some indications of how SuccessFactors and SAP’s existing HR applications will be positioned relative to each other (see SAP runs out its SaaS HCM prelim plans), the picture needs more clarity.
