Fujitsu has had its fair share of troubles of late, not least the Japan earthquake and Tsunami which has had a massive impact on its home turf. Fujitsu’s President Masami Yamamoto made a statement to the Dow Jones Newswires yesterday on the implications of the disaster (see Wall Street Journal).
The UK Government business has also had to deal with the negotiations surrounding and subsequent termination of its DWP desktop services contract ((see Fujitsu’s DWP desktop contract terminated). Now, we learn that Fujitsu’s UK Government MD, Eithne Wallis, is to move on to pastures new (today will be her last official day with the company). With all that’s going on, it’s easy to lose sight of the positives. According to the company, the Government team remains strong and it has some innovative solutions to help Government tackle its many challenges.
