CGI/Logica deal all but done and dusted

Logica shareholders did not seem to have any second thoughts about accepting CGI’s 105p a share offer even as employees were yet to be convinced (see Logica workers – more questions than answers on CGI). There was an almost 100% shareholder vote in favour of the deal, which will see Logica join the list of the ‘Dearly Departed’ (perhaps ‘Dearly Deported’ would be more appropriate!)  from the London Stock Exchange on 24^th August.

We had said all along there would never be a counterbid and it’s obvious that shareholders realised that it would be a jolly good idea to take the money and run.
