At HP’s financial services day we got a deep dive into where the company is placing its bets in the sector. This included ‘second life’ avatar-based banking (we’re still not convinced by the way) and increasingly, software-as-a-service (SaaS) for banks and insurers. HP has made some progress with its partner approach in banking, and has set up what we believe is the first private cloud core banking shared service in Europe.
