Agilisys does it again (again!) in local government

Agilisys logoFor fear of sounding repetitive – Agilisys has done it again in local government. Yes, we said that a couple of months ago when it won at Tower Hamlets – see Agilisys does it again in local government - but this time the win is with Bristol City Council. According to a contract award notice, the council has awarded Agilisys a £33 million (excluding VAT) ERP contract, which will see the company integrate the back office systems.

The notice states that a third party subcontractor will receive £966K of the value of the contracts. We wouldn’t be surprised if said “third party” were Unit 4 for the provision of its Agresso software. Agilisys is working with the ERP provider at several other local authorities e.g. at North Somerset and Tower Hamlets. In addition, Unit 4 is headquartered in Bristol.... though we understand that EU procurement rules prohibit favouritism towards local IT firms. According to the contract award notice, the tender process was weighted 50% towards delivery, 10% towards quality and 40% towards whole life costs. The council received four other bids.
