Energy sector software and services supplier KBC Advanced Technologies is signalling a steady performance in its first half (to end June) in a trading update released this morning. The company says it remains “confident that results for the year will be in line with the Board’s expectations”. Shares are down a not very significant 1.3% in early trading.
There are familiar SITS industry themes in the geographic performance in H1. KBC experienced positive trading in Asia, Russia and the Americas. But things were “weaker in some parts of Europe”. The company is aiming to reduce its European cost base in response. KBC also reports that the integration of Infochem (see KBC heads upstream with Infochem) has so far been “very successful”.
