Mixed business, Corero Network Security, sent out mixed messages on H1 performance, with reference to ‘strong’ order intake (i.e. bookings, not revenues) counterbalanced by caution on European sales growth.
They are also switching to report in dollars, a move that management says is “more closely aligned to the profile of the Group's revenue and operating profit”. Well, that might be the case for the eponymous loss-making network security division, but would be a mile out of place for Corero’s orphaned UK education software division (see Corero’s ‘orphan’ earns its keep), which was the source of some 40% of group revenues last year and is nicely profitable.
