A marketing push paid off, resulting in an 8% uplift in licence sales to (€81m) but overall revenue was down 6.4% to €257m and net profit dropped by double that figure - 13% - to €40.7m. Part of the revenue decline was due to changes within the consulting business – services revenue fell 26%. It did confirm its outlook for the year so is confident that the impact of cost cutting will be worth it. Full details on its performance will come when it reports on its end of year but it had a poor start to the year (see here) and has struggled since, although the Q3 results were well received and sent the share price up. The news that sales in Europe were “robust” was welcome, so the situation for the UK is probably reassuring.
