Brazilian IT Company of the Year, Totvs (see here), is broadly keeping pace in the global ERP scene, turning in Q3 yoy revenue growth of 11% (to 30th Sept.) and lifting operating margins over 4 points to 22.1%. OK, these numbers are not in quite the same league as SAP (see SAP remains optimistic in a gloomy world) but there again Totvs’ quarterly revenues, at Rs360m (say €140m), are minuscule compared to the German giant’s €4bn top line. Even so, Totvs claims to be the sixth largest ERP player in the world (apparently according to a US analyst firm best known for its ‘mystic pentangle’ or whatever they call it).
Totvs does not have any meaningful presence on our side of the Atlantic, but they are ambitious. And with a reported 53% share of the Brazilian ERP market, they could be the horse to back for any UK companies who may be looking to take some sort of position in the Brazilian ERP scene.
