We’re always pleased to see our ‘Little British Battlers’ punching above their weight, so we were delighted to hear that CentraStage, one of the dozen LBBs we met at our inaugural TechMarketView LBB event earlier this year, is doing just that with some aplomb.
As if CentraStage’s prized LBB status wasn’t enough, earlier this month it won ‘Cloud Provider of the Year’ at the UK IT Industry Awards for its work with London Grid for Learning. The LBB beat off stiff competition from the other much larger finalists - Salesforce, BT, Microsoft, Autonomy, Interroute, ServiceNow and Northgate. To top that off, CentraStage has just won ITPro’s Cloud Service of the Year award too. Both accolades will help to further raise the SME’s profile and strengthen its credibility in the industry.
CentraStage’s international ambitions have also been furthered since we last caught up with the management team in October (see CentraStage: a pivotal year). We can now reveal that it has a strategic partnership with security software vendor Panda, which is using CentraStage’s remote monitoring and management platform in its cloud-based offerings. The deal is a strategically important one CentraStage, which is hoping to use Panda’s global reach to rapidly extend its international technology footprint.
We hope the LBBs we meet at our event in February 2013 – pre-registration for which has now closed – will prove just as interesting to follow as ‘the class of 2012’.
