The House of Commons Defence Committee has today published its 51-page report considering the implications of cyberspace for UK defence & security. Though the recommendations may not necessarily be taken up by Government, it is clear that some actions will need to be taken and there are elements of the report that SITS suppliers should note.
Our overall impression is that while large SITS suppliers are struggling to be viewed in a positive light by UK Government (particularly at the Cabinet Office level), they will continue to be heavily in demand for their expertise in cyber security, particularly if they use their financial strength to sustain investment in developing strong, up-to-date, cyber security offerings.
