Clik here to view. After issuing a profit warning back in September (see ReThink rethinks FY outlook), AIM-listed IT recruitment-cum-consultancy firm, ReThink Group is parting company with founding CEO, Jon Butterfield. CFO Steve Wright will take the reins on a pro tem basis and they will rope back in prior CFO, Patrick Dundon, to mind the books. Recruitment MD Andrew Lord becomes COO.
Butterfield, who stays on in a ‘consulting capacity’ for the next 12 months, has a rich history in the IT recruitment world, having cut his teeth at Computer People and Best way back when. ReThink is one of a number of ITSAs (IT staff agencies) trying to incubate a ‘new age’ IT business alongside its core recruitment operation, in this case Aiimi, an enterprise content management consultancy (see ReThink aiming high with Aiimi). I can’t recall any such venture yet bearing real fruit. Perhaps the new CEO, when appointed, might ‘rethink’ precisely what is ReThink’s knitting - and stick to it!
