System C Healthcare will join the ranks of the AIM ‘Dearly Departed’ on Monday, following yesterday’s announcement of the approval of the Scheme of Arrangement for its acquisition by US healthcare giant, McKesson (see McKesson revealed as System C suitor). System C’s shares were suspended today. System C also announced yesterday that it won a contract to deploy its patient admin and electronic patient record system at Gateshead NHS Foundation Trust. Archrival EMIS had been trialling its new web-based patient records system at Gateshead (see here), but it appears that System C beat them to the deal.
