SciSys signs Scottish deal with the BBC

SciSys’ Media & Broadcast division is celebrating another order under its framework agreement with the BBC. SciSys is set to replace the dira! radio production and playout system used on all radio channels at BBC Scotland with next generation Windows-based systems. The project is expected to be worth more than £1m in total, and is scheduled for completion during 2015. Although relatively small in monetary terms, the deal further strengthens the 12-year relationship between SciSys and the BBC. It is part of a four-year framework agreement signed in 2009, which was valued at £10-15m and made SciSys the sole supplier of BBC radio’s Audio-Editing and Production systems.
