Valuation multiples for European Tech M&A deals weakened in April, with the average price-earnings multiples and price-sales multiples both declining, according to latest data from corporate finance firm Regent Partners. This is in contrast to the valuations of listed companies in the sector as represented by the TechMark index. However, deal activity involving European TMT companies remained flat in April and about 10% below the monthly average for the last twelve months.
M&A activity involving UK software and IT services companies was muted last month, and included acquisitions by Test Plant, Idox, and the voraciously acquisitive mid-market managed data and network services group Six Degrees.
