Kilts and bagpipes seem to be flavour of the month! Following our report that Capgemini is expanding its Scottish presence (see here), we have also learnt that Atos has made further investments in the region. It has opened a new Development and Innovation Centre (‘Venture House’) in Moray (its third deliver centre in the UK).
The centre houses Atos “business technologists” who will deliver secure IT development and testing services to public and private sector clients across Scotland and the UK. The investment has created 50 high value jobs with the potential for another 200 to follow suit. Recruits have included ex-RAF personnel from the Kinloss base. Investment will continue over the next three years. Atos employs a total of 1,500 “business technologists” north of the border.
