Glasgow-headquartered VC Scottish Equity Partners has ventured south of the border again, leading a £1.2m Series A funding round for London-headquartered – though Barcelona-bred – Twitter analytics start-up, SocialBro. Despite its UK base and funding, SocialBro prices its software in dollars. SocialBro raised €500m in seed funding at the end of 2012 from angel investors including Stephen Bullock and Chris Underhill, ex-CEO of multi-channel marketing software firm Smartfocus (see Even smarter finish for SmartFocus and work back).
