Another step on the Skyscape journey

Skyscape logoSkyscape Cloud Services has announced a new Channel Partner Programme to coincide with the launch of the G-Cloud 4 framework tender release. It looks like another canny move by the already successful public sector-focused SME cloud services provider. The company was founded in 2011 and the initial G-Cloud framework was a catalyst for its creation (see Skyscape wins major cloudstore IaaS deal). With a 100% focus on the UK public sector market, the management team continues to ensure that the company’s direction is completely in line with the objectives of the Cabinet Office and the UK Government ICT strategy.

This latest move will sees Skyscape offering potential sales channel partners – including SIs, managed services providers and ISVs - the support required to utilise Skyscape IL3 accredited platform as part of their public sector offering. Prior to the announcement, Skyscape had already signed up 25 channel sales partners including SIs like Capgemini, Steria, Lockheed Martin and Capita; managed services providers like ControlCircle, MDS and Zantra Technology; and ISVs like CACI, Fivium and SciSys. As one of the few providers with a pan-Government IL3 accreditation this partner programme may well be attractive to other suppliers who want to speed up their entry to the market. Of course, more partners would mean more revenue for Skyscape, helping CEO Phil Dawson to work towards his aim of being a £250m revenue company in five years time!
