Imperial Innovations, the AIM-listed (“IVO”) tech ‘incubator’ arm of London’s Imperial College, has led a £780k investment in YoYo, a smartphone-based loyalty-programme app start-up, launched this year by IVO’s ‘entrepreneur in residence’, Alain Falys, co-founder of OB10, the self-proclaimed ‘world’s largest e-invoicing business’. Sounds like good provenance.
Quite coincidentally, I was introduced yesterday by the Blessed St George O’Connor of Panmure to Nick Habgood and Michael Bennett, co-founders of private equity firm Azini Capital. Azini is one of the backers of OB10 and has a very interesting story to tell which I may well do so soon.
