In case there was any confusion as to what line of business the company is in, NorthgateArinso (the HR products and services business formed back in 2007 when then publicly listed Northgate Information Solutions acquired Belgian HR outsourcing firm ARINSO) are now spelling it out with a new brand – NGA Human Resources. KKR took NIS private later the same year.
NGA HR CEO Adel Al-Saleh believes the rebranding “will help us focus on evolving our business” though it wasn’t clear (to me anyway) precisely how this would happen, or where he believed NGA had previously lost ‘focus’. Nonetheless, I suppose it is among the less daft rebranding exercises we have seen in our sector and, one assumes, is a step towards distancing the company from the legacy Northgate brand pending the time when KKR looks to exit.
