logoI met up recently with Carlos Cordal, who leads the UK operations of Brazilian business performance management consultancy, Qualitin. The company was founded in 1996 as ‘Quality Inn’ in Porto Alegre, the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul as a TQM (total quality management) consultancy and not surprisingly soon shortened its name to Qualitin. Its ‘USP’ is its proprietary tool for KPI (key performance indicator) management, ICG, which the clients use themselves on a SaaS basis.

Cordal is looking to build a partner network here in the UK to adopt Qualitin’s methodologies using ICG. Meanwhile, he has been scoring a few hits in the UK with Qualitin’s other consultancy offerings, most recently at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing based at the University of Lincoln.

It’s an interesting company with an interesting business model.
