Clik here to view.HelpIT Systems is a 22-year-old Little British Battler punching above its weight in the data quality market both in the UK and, unusually for a British SME, in the US where it has had a presence since 2003. Indeed, CEO Steve Tootill is now based in the US, and the market accounts for almost half the company’s revenue.
HelpIT’s contact data cleansing and intelligent matching software - aptly named matchIT and findIT - appear to be hitting the right note with its 500-odd customers, which include both well-known end-user organisations and a range of channel partners.
We were also struck by the fact that its products have a natural fit with key trends in a growing area of the SITS market. The ‘fuzzy matching’ of records that helpIT’s software enables – e.g. spotting that W. R. Deighton from Distributed Services Ltd is the same individual as Bill Dayton from DSL – is vital to creating a Single Customer View from disparate data sources and for effective Big Data analytics.
HelpIT’s future plans include targeting new geographies, doing more in the UK public sector and working more with channel partners. But given that it has less than a 1% share of the markets in which it currently operates, and that those markets are growing quickly, the one thing it’s unlikely to be short of in the months ahead is opportunity!
