Selectively acquisitive UK business application provider Access Group has made another purchase, this time to bolster its manufacturing supply chain capability, with the acquisition of Nuneaton-based FactoryMaster.
This is a tuck-in purchase (it is designed for companies who monitor and manage manufacturing facilities), which Access says will enable it to offer an end-to-end manufacturing solution. It will be able to sell the FactoryMaster software to its existing base of 800 manufacturing customers but is a smart purchase because it will also provide a (small) entry point into the aviation and precision engineering sectors, thereby neatly covering expansion and new opportunities. FactoryMaster has over 170 customers including; A & G Precision, Amfin, S L Engineering and M B Aerospace. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. As its results show (see here), Access seems to be working a solid strategy, achieving both acquisition and organic growth.
