Infosys’ Bala jumps ship

The news came after our last UKHotViews email for the year but I thought it was worthy of note that V. Balakrishnan (‘Bala’), ex-CFO of Infosys and current head of its India and BPO businesses (among others), has resigned.  He had been with Infosys since 1991.

So another name is crossed off the list of insiders mooted for the CEO job when incumbent SD Shibulal is scheduled to step down in March 2015 (see Murthy’s mystery management moves). But as I have said many times before, an insider is not the right answer – and frankly hasn’t been for quite some while. I can’t believe this is the last of the top management moves we will see before then.
