In what seems to be a canny little investment, AIM-listed call centre and business process automation software provider Netcall is co-funding a £1m investment in Farnborough-based social media monitoring software developer Macranet along with Elderstreet VCT. Macranet, which trades under its platform name Sentiment, was founded by self-styled “founding father of the Social Media Listening and Engagement space” Leon Chaddock in 2005. Hardly coincidentally, Netcall is chaired by Elderstreet founder (and chairman) Michael Jackson.
We rather like Netcall as it seems to be increasingly moving into the business process automation space (see Netcall rings up strong year). It’s also growing, profitable has plenty of cash in the bank for a company of its size, and no debt. Sentiment will be integrated into Netcall’s own software platform. Good stuff!
