Baby-step expansion for Clearswift

Clik here to view.UK cyber security software provider Clearswift took the first step in its 2014 plan to grow the business and product line (see here) with a partnership with fellow security provider Blue Coat to integrate Clearswift’s new SECURE ICAP Gateway into the Blue Coat ProxySG secure web gateway. It is a conventional baby step that extends market access and functionality but Clearswift needs to do more to raise its profile and make the most of the heightened awareness around security threats. The complexity and fast changing nature of the threat environment is fostering a new generation of competitors, as illustrated by the Malvern cyber security cluster, which includes Little British Battler Deep-Secure (see here) who has its roots in Clearswift. Established security providers like Clearswift (and Sophos) are up against intense competition.
