The European tech M&A scene was dominated by activity in the telco sector last month, according to latest data from corporate finance firm, Regent. Major deals at Ericsson and Vimplecom were not enough to stop the deal value curve diving, but this was because the AT&T acquisition of T-Mobile USA had dropped out of the rolling 3-month numbers. Regent chairman and CEO, James Calvert, noted that valuation multiples held steady on a month-to-month basis, with median PER at 18.0x and median PSR at 1.3x.
M&A activity in the UK software and IT services industry was relatively subdued in June, with bolt-on deals at Calyx, Digital Barriers, and InterQuest.
