On the evening of 21st Sept 11, Richard Holway, Anthony Miller and Georgina O’Toole are giving their ‘State of the ICT Nation’ presentation on behalf of the Prince's Trust Technology Leadership Group. BT Global Services will once again be sponsoring the event which will be followed by an intimate dinner atop BT Tower attended by 60 of the UK’s technology leaders.
Richard’s presentation is the 13th he has given fo
r the Trust and the seventh year that the event has been sponsored by BT. This year’s is entitled THINGS HAVE CHANGED (Bob Dylan 1999). As attendees know, each year the speech is preceded by a music track. Since the very first address in 2002, we have been told that “The times they are a’changin..” (Bob Dylan 1964). That time has now arrived. Things really have changed. The old days and old ways are past. The future finally has arrived.
BT Global Services’ sponsorship means all the money raised from ticket sales will be donated to The Prince’s Trust - directly helping disadvantaged young people who have been the worst casualties of the recession. The 13 presentations to date have raised approaching £1m for the Trust.
The event this year has been SOLD OUT for months. Practically all the top CEOs from the sector in the UK are attending. Indeed, it is considered by past attendees to be the ‘must attend’ networking event of the year. But we have just had a couple of cancellations.
