Admitting that the performance of acquired of compliance training firm, Cobent, was a “disappointment”, Access Intelligence, the buy-and-build portfolio of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) SaaS offerings headed by Michael Jackson, has cut loose the principal vendors who had previously left the business. Jackson has installed a new management team which he expects will ‘reinvigorate’ Cobent, which was not expected to break even until early next year (see Work in progress at Access Intelligence). Jackson did not expect the matter to have a material impact in profits, though the resulting share base reduction (see the RNS release if you are interested) will boost diluted EPS by nearly 9%. (Note: Not to be confused with Access Technology Group - the Lyceum-backed ERP play).
