Simon O’Kane, former Managing Director, UK & Ireland, at Salesforce.com, has joined Huddle as VP Enterprise, and described Huddle as “undoubtedly Europe’s leading cloud computing company”. This probably says as much about the pace of cloud adoption in Europe as it does about Huddle, but nonetheless, it is a testament to the company that, with annual turnover of less than £10 million, it can attract such top talent.
O’Kane clearly expects great things. He has also described Huddle as “an organisation destined for greatness”. Q1 results from the cloud based collaboration and content management platform provider bode well (May to July) – they reveal sales tripling. Sales to new enterprise customers increased five times compared to the same period in 2010. The Huddle team is expected to grow by 60% this year. Recent deals have added customers including Unilever, Diageo, M&C Saatchi and the Belgian Ministry of Health.
