Not to be outdone by Logica (see Logica UK shines as group margins slip), Steria also saw UK revenues rise by 6% yoy in Q3, to €159m (c£140m). The UK led Steria’s regional growth, and contributed to top line revenues reaching €412m in the quarter to 30th Sept., 4% higher like-for-like. It seems the star of the UK show was NHS SBS, the Steria/Dept. Health BPO joint venture, where revenues grew nearly 18% in the quarter. By the way, I recently met up with Peter Holliday, head of Steria Recruitment. This is Steria’s ‘embedded ITSA’ (IT staff agency) which it inherited with the Xansa acquisition way back when. It’s an interesting business – perhaps one yet to fulfil its true potential – and I shall relate the story in a future post.
Meanwhile we await results from Capgemini next Tuesday to round out the picture of the major Europeans.
