Ursula MorgensternAtos_newAfter a five year stint at the helm of the business, Atos UK & Ireland CEO, Keith Wilman, is stepping down at the end of the year (or rather, stepping up!) to assume the role of Chairman for Atos UK&I. He will also act as special advisor to Atos group chairman and CEO, Thierry Breton. Taking over as UK & Ireland CEO will be Ursula Morgenstern, currently UK&I COO.

Though he will be a tough act to follow, Ursula Morgenstern is well equipped to assume Wilman's mantle, having joined Atos in 2002 via the KPMG Consulting acquisition and then rapidly climbing up the ladder to become second in command in the UK&I business.

Many congratulations to Ursula, and very best wishes to Keith.

Richard Holway writes:Keith Wilman

We’ve known Keith for a long time in various guises. Always had the greatest respect for the man and what he has achieved. ‘A quiet gentleman’ would be an appropriate description.

One of the very first posts on HotViews in July 2007 was entitled New bosses everywhere. It gave news of Keith leaving his role heading CSC UK for Atos. But the same story announced Nick Wilson’s appointment to Keith’s role at CSC – he has since moved on to HP UK. Also of Duncan Tait moving to head Unisys UK – he has since moved on to head Fujitsu UK. The article also discussed who might get the CEO role at Logica. We suggested Bill Thomas who at that time headed EDS. The job went to Andy Green from BT Global Services.

What interesting musical chairs we do play!
