SThree – more contractors overseas than in UK

I believe this marks a significant milestone for erstwhile UK-based ITSA (IT staff agency) but now international, multidiscipline recruitment firm, SThree. At the close of its 2011 financial year (27th Nov), they had more contractors on assignment in overseas markets than they did in the UK. Indeed, while UK contractor numbers grew by 1% in FY11, those overseas increased by 15%. It’s just another indication of how CEO Russell Clements has steered the company into more favourable waters while many of his UK ITSA peers have seen their businesses founder on the rocks. Clements is calling an ‘in line’ year for gross profits (a key measure for recruitment firms) and we’ll tell you more when the final numbers are out at the end of January.
