Well, I spoke to soon. It looks like Wipro CEO TK Kurien has completed his sweep of the top team, with the departure of Mark Fleming (pictured), the only non-Indian among his direct reports (see Wipro reverts to an India-centric world). Fleming was recruited from Accenture in March last year to run Wipro’s telecom, media and technology business, and was promoted by Kurien himself just two months ago to head Wipro’s newly formed Global Media and Telecom group when chairman Azim Premji dispensed with the services of the prior joint CEOs and promoted Kurien to take sole charge. We can but wait to see if Kurien's radical surgery will fix Wipro's woes.
