OK, we can’t not mention the fabulous weekend for Team GB at the Olympics. But joy is surely mingled with frustration over the ticketing system. I don’t doubt my experience is shared by so many others trying to get tickets which appear available on the website until you press the ‘Request Tickets’ button. What happens next is right out of Alice in Wonderland, with messages about how long you have to wait to see if you have been successful changing both down and up with gay abandon, only to tell you that there’s actually none left. No prizes for whoever dreamed that system up. Meanwhile, back to the plasma …
