Clik here to view.Four months after its August Equity-backed MBO (see here), Kent-based security managed services firm SecureData has made its first acquisition, that of Surrey-based, self-styled ‘Application Delivery and Security Specialists’, Quadrant Networks. No terms were disclosed.
Quadrant appears to offer managed services around a very broad set of third-party security products, including, interestingly, those of UK ‘born-again’ network security and education software play, Corero (see Will Corero ‘FloD’ the network security market?).
As I said at the time of the MBO, SecureData is hardly the only game in town in this space. But as it’s unlikely there will ever be a dominant player in this market, there’s no reason why companies like SecureData can’t stake out a useful claim.
