CSC has announced that Guy Hains - who has previously been president of CSC's International and European groups and was leading the global healthcare business until yesterday - is to leave the company at the end of December. Andrea Fiumicelli (pictured right) has replaced him as VP and General Manager of the Healthcare Group effective immediately. Fiumicelli, who was briefly iSoft’s CEO before it was 
acquired by CSC in 2011 (see here), was serving as CSC’s Director of Healthcare Integration and Projects.
According to a statement from CSC, Hains has decided that having finally reached an agreement with NHS in the UK (see here), the time is right to move on. Fiumicelli is a logical internal replacement given his background in international healthcare markets – before joining iSoft/IBA Healthcare as COO in 2008 he was COO at Agfa Healthcare in Germany. His understanding of international healthcare markets and familiarity with the iSoft business should prove useful in the months ahead as he takes on the challenge of developing CSC’s worldwide healthcare business.
