EMIS & System C at Gateshead - Correction

Friday’s HotViews post (since corrected) on System C Healthcare’s patient administration system contract win at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust erroneously implied the win was at EMIS’ expense - sorry about that! This is of course not the case, since EMIS operates in the primary care space and System C predominantly in the acute sector. EMIS’ integration project with Gateshead is still going strong. It involves out-of-hours medical staff using Adastra software (from Advanced Computer Software) to access primary summary care records from EMIS Web. Indeed, we were also pleased to see that EMIS had further success with EMIS Web last month. It secured its biggest healthcare community installation to date in a £1.8m contract to deliver a shared record for primary healthcare teams across Cheshire.
