When we returned from a week’s holiday on Saturday, the BT business line line which carries our broadband line was down. BT fixed this first thing on Bank Holiday Monday - good service. The line was down because BT Openreach had been installing new kit for TalkTalk at our exchange in Runfold on 22nd Aug. Our TalkTalk broadband now runs at 1mbps - rather than the 5mbps we got before (not that good even then). So far getting Talktalk to even accept there is a problem has been a nightmare.
But a few weeks ago EE had sent me a free Mobile WiFi device with access to a trial data account. It worked straight out of the box and, although 4G is not available in our rural location, amazingly I picked up 3G. Vodafone have no 3G service here.
It has seriously been a life saver. I’m sure there are other mobile WiFi devices and certainly other service providers. But on this occasion I give all the plaudits to EE. You were a life-saver. Thanks.
