Massive Analytic: big data for mere mortals

LogoLogoMassive Analytic is an early stage company but one worthy of on-going attention due to its focus on automation, optimisation and visualisation which have the potential to address some of the adoption and usage challenges in the big data analytics space. We met up with the management team at the latest Little British Battler event and were impressed by their plans to make big data analytics accessible for mere mortals.

The company offers end-to-end business analytics optimisation (BAO) plus hyperfast data access, movement and storage via two products - Oscar and Fevela - provisioned via the SaaS model or as on-premise solutions.  Together they enable large data sets to be compressed, moved, accessed, analysed and stored - but they hide much of the complexity inherent in the underlying technologies, allowing business users to interact with their data via familiar browsers and storyboard dashboards.

Providing business users with the means to control, understand and use their data - without having to rely on ‘experts’ –  will be a major market breakthrough.  Watching Massive Analytic move its products from development and beta stage into full production will be an informative process – and the company is already attracting attention from major industry consortiums.
