Moulton does it for Fox

MoultonGiven the ills in the world and the state of the economy, it is truly only Britain that can make the Liam Fox story dominate the news media for all of the last week. It normally wouldn’t get a mention on HotViews. But, as you can see from the Daily Telegraph today, it really seems that it was Jon Moulton who put the final nail in Fox’s coffin by announcing that it was Fox himself who personally asked him for a donation to Pargav. As the Telegraph states Mr Moulton, a venture capitalist and donor to Dr Fox before the election, had decided he was not prepared to act as a human shield for him, and within minutes of Dr Fox’s resignation being made public he disclosed information that would have been fatal to Dr Fox.

The Defence Secretary, he said, had personally asked him to provide funding to Mr Werritty’s company, Pargav. After more than a week of dodging questions about what he knew about Mr Werritty’s funding, the truth had finally caught up with Dr Fox.”

Moulton, of course, has long standing links to our SITS sector and to many the companies we report upon. Previously via Alchemy and now via Better Capital where his investments include Calyx (See Calyx acquires (twice))and Digipos (See Timothy to chair Digipos) as well as being in contention for Clarity (See Bidding clash for Clarity)

Note – Richard Holway is a shareholder in Better Capital.
